My partner and I decided to get married in South Africa in March 2019 and decided we would do it in 12 months. Which we did on 03/03/2020. We found Sally on the internet and never looked back. She was amazing from day one. We started emailing and speaking a lot more after Christmas as it was getting close. She arranged everything hairdressers, restaurant booking for evening after and also booked our shark cage diving trip for 2 days later. The day couldn’t of gone any better we married on Table Mountain and it was a beautiful day. The whole team were great Sally’s daughter was helping her mum with the photography and she kept my phone and took loads of pictures for us. Alison who did the ceremony was amazing too and not forgetting Cecil our driver. Although we got married on Table Mountain and had all photos done there Sally then took us down to Signal Hill to take more and then down to Camps Bay for the sunset. She went above and beyond and our photos are amazing. We are still in touch I think we have made friends for life. Hopefully we can get back to Cape Town one year for our anniversary and all meet up. Recommend Sally and her amazing team to anyone.

We decided to get married in Cape Town quite last minute and found Sally on the internet. From the first contact, it felt like we were in the hands of the most capable person ever. We had quite a few last minute requests, as we had planned to be by ourselves but ended up having about 20 guests but nothing was a problem – it felt as though we could say we’d like a troupe of Martians to land in a spaceship on the beach and Sally would just say what colour would you like it to be. Having Sally plan our wedding was the best idea ever – besides getting married. We had found her on the internet and it was love on the first email! All along we had the feeling of being around an additional family member. Great, since we had a very intimate family wedding. She organised wonderful chefs that catered for us in our beautiful beach villa, she decorated the house in a way that could have been photographed by ELLE Decoration, she brought her daughter along to babysit and last but not least captured the essence of the day in hundreds of amazing photos. Getting married of course is a daunting logistical challenge, and the idea of taking the big step in a foreign country seems like even more of a stretch….How wrong we thankfully were!

We met Sally in June 2017 just to discuss possible venues for our wedding. We left that meeting with endless possibilities and so much options. We started planning our wedding from September and we approached Sally and went for the Beach packaged. From there on this wedding was literally planned via emails, WhatsApp messages and telephone calls as we are situated in the Northern Cape.

We met up with Sally again 2 days before our wedding in May 2018 and all was ready and in place to say “I do”…. All our arrangements & requirements was met and our day was so beautiful I could not have asked for better.

Words cannot describe the wedding that we had on 20th April 2018 thanks to Sally, Kathy, Andred and Ben at Weddings Abroad. We discovered Sally online whilst searching for wedding planners in South Africa who help couples from abroad. Every step of the process was easy and fluid. When Sally could not be there on the day, Kathy stepped in and met us at our hotel with Andred two days before as agreed. This meeting put any worries aside and we could look forward to our day knowing we were in great hands.

The wedding day itself was incredible. The location, the views, the evening meal at Pigalles. They even ordered the sunshine for us at the top of Table Mountain! What a stunning location to get married. We’d recommend it for sure!

Both Mark and I would like to send our heartfelt thanks for everything you did to help make our wedding a day to remember, even down to ordering the perfect weather! Thankfully the wind stayed away which meant both my veil and the gazebo stayed exactly where they were supposed to, and the amazing photos you took portray perfectly the wedding we spent over a year planning and looking forward to. Firstly, apologies for not being in touch before this. It’s been on my mind to email but i thought I’d wait for the photo’s first and then since Lloyd arrived it’s just been so hectic!!! I did try and text you before I left Cape Town but I’m not sure if you’d have received it as I was having network problems.

Anyway, we just wanted to say A BIG THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! We really, really enjoyed our wedding day – it was absolutely perfect. Everything was fabulous and went so smoothly.

Your recommendation of Anine for hair and make-up was spot on. She made everyone look lovely and was so calm! Andred was absolutely fab as well – he made the service really personal, even though he’d only just met us. He’s just great! Thanks too to Cathy for making things run smoothly on the day and so discreetly as well. Even our drivers were lovely – very obliging and helpful!

Thomas and the band were just great, weren’t they? I smile every time I think of them. I hope you’ll be able to use them again.

Finally, thanks x 1000 000 to you for co-ordinating everything and for the fantastic pictures. We really love them and they really capture the day as it was. Everyone here is so impressed with them! It was so lovely for Lloyd and I to sit down and look at them together…….our big problem now is choosing what ones to have enlarged!

I know you sent us 100’s but I was just wondering about a couple of others. None of us have any proper pictures of my sister Cheryl (she’s the one in the turquoise dress). I think she was so busy video/taking photo’s herself, we never really got the chance to get any of her. She thought that you had taken a picture of her and little Olivia – if so, would it be possible to send it on. Also, did you have one of me sitting on the rock on my own? My mum had taken what would have been a nice one but for the fact it was out of focus!! Sorry, to be cheeky and ask when you’ve already sent us so many.

Anyway, I must go now. Lloyd and I are off to pick up his wedding ring – it’s been away being made bigger!!!

“Love and marriage….It can all get too much with a wedding.

Until you finally decide to get married you don’t realise all the tiny snags just waiting to catch you out and the hefty price tags included! Teresa and I however had a picture perfect, dream of a wedding. In fact even the dreams of the day could not compare to the actual day.
After getting engaged in Florida we decided on getting married in South Africa; wonderous Cape Town. We wanted an intimate setting in the country with few guests, most of whom would be travelling to South Africa for the first time.

Now we all know that weddings can be complicated, (flowers, holiday bookings, priests, photographers etc), let alone planning the best day of your life in a foreign country! My mother happened to see an advert or something on TV about Weddings Abroad organising, planning and managing wedding days in South Africa so we decided to give them a call. To simply say that they blew us away is an understatement as we had everything roughly planned by the time we left South Africa after our holiday.

They choreographed our whole groups itinerary for the two weeks our guests spent with us and our week alone on honeymoon, and also the wedding of our dreams. We had fantastic flowers, fabulous photographer, (who managed to keep out the way and get great pictures) and stunning location.

Our group spent two weeks in SA, travelling in Cape Town, visiting many places and then onto a Safari in Entabeni and then back to London and honeymoon for Teresa and I in Cape Town.

Should anyone ever want to travel from abroad to get married or even consider it, I would never hesitate in recommending Weddings Abroad to plan and organise their wedding and travel arrangements.
